Thomas Prayer and Praise
Christ Centered Churches Among all African Peoples
Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest. John_4:35
“Are you seeing much interest in disciple making in Africa?”
Our Answer is yes! We kind of thought we were busy in 2011. It was during our April Regional Administrators Workshop that we learned our 2011 internet inquiries actually totaled 559. Whew!! The most in the country! These were for Short and Full Term lengths of service through AIM’s web site. We are very thankful for this huge interest to disciple men, women, and children after trusting Christ as savior. What are we looking for? Disciples who will say: Lord anything…anytime…anywhere…at any cost! Our personal motto is: Desiring to get the right people on the right bus and in the right seat for God’s glory.
We are responsible for initial contacts from the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, and Tennessee. We desire to follow God’s directions as we e-mail, phone, and travel.
Please Pray
- June 4-18 Nashville TN-> West, MS, AL, misc meetings.
- June 8-10 we are considering a possible visit with Ryan (our son) in Illinois.
- Pray that we will be lead to those who are right for the AIM Bus this summer.
- As we interview couples, families, and singles pray that God will help us to be clear about the qualifications, difficulties of life in Africa, the potential risks, and the cross we are required to carry.
- We are making travel plans for Aug., Sept., Oct., and Nov., during June.
- David, Bethany, Carly, and Andrew will be home from Malaysia visiting us in FL from June 21- July 19. (We will be on vacation most of those 4 weeks.)
We are especially thankful for the Lord’s protection over many miles of travel during the first 4 months of this year. Your prayers are critical for our safe travels and effective ministry. Thank you!!!

- March: The month started with FBC Palmetto Mission Conference, we conducted Interviews in GA, attended the Regional Administrator’s workshop.
- April: We caught up with Paul and Angie from Caron Port SK Canada who came to FL to visit. Next we caught up with Charles our dear friend from Nairobi, Kenya. We interviewed 4 couples in Macon GA, Johnson City TN, Rocky Mt. NC, and Durham NC. We crossed the Blue Ridge twice on this trip! God’s flowering trees etc. were a special blessing to us this time.
Africa News!
Les and Mary Anne Harris leave for LRA territory in the Central Africa Republic.
We just talked to two of our pastors there this AM and all was quiet for the moment. One mentioned that a large group of LRA including captive women and children were seen leaving CAR for Congo. Others were seen on the move south in the Rafai area. But so far all is quiet at Zemio where we will be May 28-July 1. We would appreciate your prayers for safety in our flights and in all the region and for God’s enabling that we might encourage and bring refreshment to our Zande friends. We are looking to teaching in the Bible School leading up to graduation June 30.” Les Harris reporting
